HRM TV speaks to Dr Heidi Sundin from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency about what strategies and actions HR practitioners can take to address the pay gap between women and men, and remove gender bias.
In addition, Sundin explores why an organisation might have a pay gap, the benefits for organisations in addressing gender pay equity and what role leaders play in achieving equal remuneration. She also talks about new WGEA tools to address pay equity.
Sundin will be sitting on a panel at the 2014 AHRI National Convention, held 20–21 August, that will provide an overview of pay equity and the steps required to build a pay equity strategy, as well as sharing best practice on managing pay equity across all levels of organisations.
