I wonder if is there any scientific support on standing desks? A paper titled “Difference in Caloric Expenditure in Sitting versus Standing Desks of Christopher Reiff, Kara Marlatt and Donald R. Denguel finds out that there is a significant more calories consumption by working at standing desks than by working sitting on a desk. That wasn’t the only finding. The same study points out that people working on their feet has more oxygen consumption, and more carbon dioxide production. You can view this scientific paper here.
